Sunday's are LIVE on the radio. Didn't get enough music on the weekend? Wanna hear that track you heard that great DJ spin, and get some background info on it (or at least the name of the artist)?
I've got TWO solutions for you:
1)Check out New Detroit Radio!
Hosts are Doc Raymond and Harley from Detroit. You can tune in 24/7 for the stream, and on Sundays 9pm - 1am for the Live show.
They play house, techno, trance, drum and bass, minimal, breaks, ambient, electronica, and electro.
2) Minced Meat is still on every Sunday night as well, of course, from 12-2am on CJAM 91.5FM, with local hip hop and electronica, but I just wanted you all to be in on the goods.
On another note...
I was talkin' with a friend last night at the FAM Fest Post Party, and he was tellin' me just how important it is to be a 'tastemaker' of sorts when I'm choosing what tracks to play on the show.
He's right: the on-air studio is like a laboratory of sorts, of course, where I put together a list of tracks that, when you hear them, will chemically modify your brain and you will always enjoy that track. Sort of like crack! That's why I so carefully select every song you hear. They subliminally influence you to only listen to whatever I play on my show. Then you go out and buy the record, and end up supporting local music.
I guess the secret's out...
;)
So don't forget to tune in tonight! Oh wait, you won't. You're chemically addicted to that shiz.
