Hip Hop Plus Pop With Soul

Detroit CYDI says it all. Can you dig it?
Their danceable, fun-lovin melodies with heavenly hip hop delivery from super producer Dr. Illingsworth, Rufio Jones & Sean Uppercut.

Their latest, The Rhyming Dictionary is available on their myspace for free download (click the name) and was produced in part by Erik L, a producer all the way from Sweden. This alliance is what immediately appealed to me about Detroit CYDI - the fusion of european electronic sounds plus the easy to hear lyricism is highly agreeable. This compatible group works closely with Stryfe, Stray and Nic Notion, among many others. I think (hope) Stryfe (who has a new release available here) will be in the studio this week with us as well. Check him out at Blue Collar Gentleman tonight at The Old Miami!

Tune in to Minced Meat this Sunday May 3rd at 12AM to CJAM 91.5fm for a live interview, and maybe some live performances too!

Detroit Cydi is dope. These men have a style that definitely reflects the soul, progression, funk and beauty of Motown. I bump them on a regular basis. Get with them if you haven't done so already. Detroit stand up!
