I hope your weekend was a great one, and that you enjoyed Minced Meat last night with my good pal DJ Kero and Don Valley as hosts. Check out Don Valley at The Rotation & other events. Last night I was off galavanting around Detroit with friends at The Magic Stick, where Ghislain Poirier, Daedalus and Champions of Breakfast (electro pop from Ferndale) performed live. Daedalus rocks that monome256 so sweetly. I met with the Ninja Tune recording artist after his set, and he was glad to tell me that his newest upcoming project includes lots of rhyming with the one and only Busdriver.
Also in this post I would like to share with you some photos from the other night, every emcee and wordsmith was on his game. THANK YOU to everyone who turned out, it was a solid hip hop show from start to finish with very progressive, enlightening and enthusiastic performers with style. An article on the event was published in the Windsor Star on Thursday -- sorry for the delay, but you can read it here.
