Here's a little bit about each artist:
K-Fresh: Detroit DJ (he spins everything from electro to hip hop to blues and jazz), music journalist and founder of RenaissanceSoul.com, the true original website dedicated to the life and work of James Yancey aka J Dilla. He knows all the secrets.
Jason Hogans/Medium Parnell/:brownstudy: The founder of Really Nice Recordings, your friend, an advocate for positive and healthy, the best emcee you need to hear if you haven't already. He makes his own beats, too, and works with the finest folks in town, as he has recently released tracks on the great new label Exchange Bureau Music, as well as Planet E (less recently).
DJ Guy LaFleur: No, not the hockey player, yet he's still sort of a mystery to me. Expect greatness in the form of House music. I think.
Malik Alston: From the Detroit live band Painted Pictures, as well as his own Truth Manifest, London's Third Ear and Ubiquity Records. From what I've heard of his stuff, Malik brings quality, deep house beats :)
