No wonder. J Dilla's legacy is now stronger than ever. I have discovered that the more people find out about his contributions to Hip Hop musically, the more people's minds are changed about what Hip Hop is. It helps that his colleagues and contemporaries do not cease to impress listeners, having absorbed some part of the man's music that spoke to them, and injecting that into their own styles... and building up a higher standard for music-making in this age of the producer. I think it's sweet that artists still rock his beats, I plan to explore more of them and continue to play definitive local music.
