It's directed by Nic Notion and is not what you would expect from the Chicago-based emcee, known well for his vintage vibes in the hip-hop duo Crown Nation with Denmark Vessey. Pared down as it may be, it's a polished piece of work. I love music that challenges the norm, throws off your expectations.
And speaking of experimental video and music, keep pressin. Someone was gripin' to me the other day that "hip-hop can't really go anywhere else" and I think that's hogwash.
